Jack Blocker, Abi Carter, and Will Moseley are the three remaining finalists for the Season 22 crown. Each of them will have one last chance to sing for the judges and for viewer votes from home, before host Ryan Seacrest announces the 2024 “American Idol” winner.
Perry, meantime, will be making her final appearance as a judge on “Idol,” after announcing her departure earlier this year. The singer joined Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie as “American Idol” judges in 2018 when ABC revived the singing competition after 15 seasons on FOX. While Bryan and Richie are expected to return for Season 23 of “Idol,” the network has yet to announce who will be replacing Perry on the judging panel.
Tonight’s “American Idol” finale is expected to feature a tribute to Perry. Guest performers on the finale, meantime, include James Bay, Season 14 “Idol” winner Nick Fradiani, Cody Johnson, Bishop Briggs, Hootie & The Blowfish, Jason Mraz, Seal, Cece Winans, New Kids on the Block, and Wynonna Judd. Bon Jovi will also be performing and serving as guest mentor for the final three contestants.
Watch “American Idol” live tonight on ABC and stream the finale online free with DirecTV Stream or Fubo TV. Want to re-watch the season finale or watch it on-demand? The Season 22 finale is streaming the next day on Hulu.
