When you think of lovable TV show hosts, you probably think of Marc Summers from Double Dare. It pretty much defined many of our childhoods.

Or, if you're not a loser like me, you probably think of Ellen. She's pretty much the most beloved, happy-go-lucky personalities on TV, and she's a hecck of a precious human being. Just look at how overjoyed she is receiving the Presidential Medal of Freedom from Obama. She's clearly overwhelmed with emotions.

But the start has been at it for years. Before taking the reigns of her current show, Ellen was a mainstay from just about everything. From her own ride at Disney's Epcot Resort to hosting many fun gigs like hosting the Academy awards. (twice!)

But there are some people on Twitter who are trying to point out that Ellen's guilty of the same predatory and dehumanizing behavior as Donald Trump and Harvey Weinstein. We're not sure if we agree but the star has come under much scrutiny because of her fun birthday tweet to Katy Perry yesterday. Do you see anything wrong with it?

A lot of self-proclaimed conservative Twitter users seemed to find the photo the most outrageous. Maybe because they want to make a loud and proud gay liberal like Ellen DeGeneres look bad. People really wanted to vilify her and started pointing out other examples of stars 'harassing' other stars.

Others spoke out that there is a clear difference between Ellen's behavior and Harvey Weinstein's.

Ellen is NOWHERE near Weinstein! This is an OLD pic of three friends sharing a joke! Chill out, people!

We get that....it’s just an inappropriate time to be flaunting it. In the wake of all the rape and sexual harassment going on in Hollywood

Perhaps, but comparing her to Weinstein is unnecessary. She is not even close. An ill-timed joke, perhaps, but the comparison is wrong.

Oh stop. Katy doesn't look offended. This is a far cry from sexual assault. Quit trying so hard 2B relevant. Happy Birthday beautiful Katy!

Are you joking. They are friends. Do you not have fun with your friends! No different that you and your good friend goofing off.

What do you think? Was Ellen 'sexualizing' Katy Perry and demeaning her? Or are people just trying to foment outrage over a joke between friends?
